Miu MiuPh/ my Instagram

Sometimes, you just need to spoil yourself. And that’s exactly what I did today. I mean, it’s Friday and I had a stressful week at work (I always make excuses when it comes to shopping and eating sweets). I actually just wanted to go sale shopping at Zara, but when I came across Berlin’s biggest department store, KaDeWe, I heard the Miu Miu store that is inside there calling my name. Next thing I know, I  found my long-loved item that I already wanted for my birthday back in February, but at that time it was sold out. Of course I had to take it home with me. Guess it’s my lucky day.

Want to know what’s inside? Start following me on Instagram and keep an eye on my blog (:

Last week, my eyebrows rose when I read about French fashion house Yves Saint Laurent  dropping the Yves from its iconic name Yves Saint Laurent. The 50-year old brand will continue as Saint Laurent Paris under direction of YSL’s newly promoted creative director Hedi Slimane, who recently took over in March. I find the re-branding quite a radical decision for such a unique and traditional brand as Yves Saint Laurent.

Even Choupette Lagerfeld, one of the most important cats on social media who has Chanel director Karl Lagerfeld as its owner, shared his disbelief on Twitter earlier this week.

I fully agree with you, Choupette.

Daphne Groeneveld for Dior Addict

Dutch supermodel Daphne Groeneveld, famous for her beautiful pouty lips that even Angelina Jolie would be jealous of, stars in the new campaign of Dior Addict for its new line of Dior Addict fragrances.. Set in sunny Saint-Tropez, we see the 17-year old Brigitte Bardot look-a-like dancing around, having fun at the beach, flirting and even letting a cat sit on her head (huh? yes, you really need to watch the video).

The campaign was filmed by Swedish video director Jonas Akerlund, famous for Lady Gaga‘s telephone video and the campaign’s print images were shot by Tim Walker, which I wrote about in yesterday’s post. Now go have a look at this easy breezy beautiful campaign video, sing along and tap your toes to the ‘I Love You Ono’ song that is played in the background, and pay special attention to the cat on Daphne’s head.

It’s June 21st today, which marks the first day of summer (although it is very rainy in Berlin, the city where I live) but I am already looking forward to the fall when looking at these beautiful campaign photos of Mulberry, shot by photographer Tim Walker. The Mulberry Fall/Winter 2012-2013 campaign reminds me a of Where The Wild Things Are. Are you also in love with the beautiful brown bag that model Lindsey Wixson is showing off on the last picture? Mulberry just always works for me.

How crazy awesome are these Keep sneakers (and how adorable is this kitty) designed by one of my current favorite artist at the moment, the great Bon Iver? I simply love the color of the shoe and the fishbone sketch, which I think the cat in the picture likes a lot too. But you know what is even more awesome? This shoe was designed for a charity project, and all the sales of the shoe will go to benefit the Best Friends Animal Society, an animal welfare and advocacy organization, which operates America’s largest sanctuary for abused and abandoned animals.

Lucky me: I get to see Bon Iver play in my hometown (Groningen, the Netherlands) on July 11th. Could not be more excited (:

What do you do when you cannot afford a Hermès bag, which I think would be a common problem among almost every 20 something girl (except if you are a.: spoiled by your rich parents, b.: spoiled by your rich boyfriend)? Well, you DIY.

On Hermes.com, several templates for a DIY Hèrmes Jige Clutch (the worshiped clutch spotted on many celeb fashionista’s like Olivia Palermo) are available. There are 3 other very other important ingredients:  a printer, a pair of scissors and glue. A bit of creativity, some patience et voilà, you have your DIY Hermes Jige Clutch.

I know how I will be spending my next boring sunday afternoon.DIY hermès
