This. is. just. great.

Lana Del Rey is one lucky girl, a very, very lucky girl. As she already got the Mulberry tote ‘Rey of Light‘ named after her, she now is the face for Swedish fashion brand H&M. Two Fall/Winter 2012 Campaign pictures in which she stars were already released. A short film will also become available on September 19 via hm.com, for which Lana recorded a cover of Blue Velvet. It is supposed to be a-mazing. I stay tuned, while obsessing over this nude pink angora sweater she is wearing (want!).
I have always been a big fan of Mila Kunis ever since I started watching That ’70s Show, in which she played the hilarious Jackie Burkhart. And currently, I am a bit jealous of her as rumour has it that she is dating Ashton Kutcher. But anyway, besides being a wonderful actress, the Ukrainian Hollywood star definitely has great modeling skills too. Once again, she is the face of the new Dior campaign. Photographed by Mario Sorrenti and styled by former French Vogue editor-in-chief Carine Roitfeld, the lovely Mila poses with the new Miss Dior handbag.

One of my favorite Fall/Winter 2012-2013 campaigns, is definately this one from Dolce & Gabbana.
Last Tuesday, Karl Lagerfeld showed his Chanel Haute-Couture Fall/Winter 2012 Collection at the Grand Palais in Paris, France. The collection was vintage inspired – elongated silhouettes and sparkling faux tweed in colors of nude to soft pink, classical black and grey adding to the nostalgic look and feel. Once again, Karl Lagerfeld proved that he is truly the king of haute couture.
One of the highlights of the show was a long sleeveless tweed coat, which is shown in the picture above, that took the Chanel’s craftsmen 3000 hours to make. Say that again? Yes, it took 3000 hours to make. Then I guess it makes sense why haute couture often comes with a price tag including 4 zero’s at the end
I was in complete “awe” when I first saw these pictures of Elie Saab’s Fall/Winter 2012-2013 Collection that was showed last Wednesday during Paris Fashion Week. Elie Saab is famous for creating beautiful evening and grand soirée gowns which are popular among Hollywood’s red carpet elite. For this collection, the Lebanese designer was inspired by the Ottoman Empire. A creation of elegant gowns embroidered with beads, glistening sequins and crystals, in a timeless color palette of black, gold, nude and sky blue were the end result.
An amazing A/W 2012 campaign video of Raf Simons‘ Run Fall Run collection, photographed and directed by Pierre Debusschere.

Sometimes, you just need to spoil yourself. And that’s exactly what I did today. I mean, it’s Friday and I had a stressful week at work (I always make excuses when it comes to shopping and eating sweets). I actually just wanted to go sale shopping at Zara, but when I came across Berlin’s biggest department store, KaDeWe, I heard the Miu Miu store that is inside there calling my name. Next thing I know, I found my long-loved item that I already wanted for my birthday back in February, but at that time it was sold out. Of course I had to take it home with me. Guess it’s my lucky day.

Last week, my eyebrows rose when I read about French fashion house Yves Saint Laurent dropping the Yves from its iconic name Yves Saint Laurent. The 50-year old brand will continue as Saint Laurent Paris under direction of YSL’s newly promoted creative director Hedi Slimane, who recently took over in March. I find the re-branding quite a radical decision for such a unique and traditional brand as Yves Saint Laurent.
I fully agree with you, Choupette.
